Have you ever shot a bow and arrow? Would you like to know how the inhabitants of the castle and palace supplied themselves with meat in the past and practised using weapons? In the historical atmosphere of the Renaissance shooting range, you can handle this vital tool like the inhabitants of the past. 

Archery was practised on the Schallaburg archery range 400 years ago. Now it's your turn! We will introduce you to the basics of archery and let you put your skill with bow and arrow to the test.  

We recommend comfortable clothing - especially if you want to try out the next Schalla sport after your archery practice - ball sports. This was also indulged in during the Renaissance for the purpose of "physical exercise". 

The historic ballroom is located right next to the shooting range. It is not used for dancing, but for playing "ball over the string", just like back then. However, we have recently installed a modern version for you. Give yourself a real workout with air badminton!

The equipment - net, ball and badminton rackets in various sizes - is provided on site. If you can't find any balls, replacements are available at the cash desk.
